Te Waikoropupū Springs water clarity instrumentation in place. Instruments are ‘hanging’ off a submerged line, above the bottom and near one of the main vents. A novel deployment method, similar in principle to a flying fox (cable car or zip line), was used to position instrumentation from shore above the spring. The deployment line was then lowered into place to below the surface, out of public view.
