Graham Fenwick, Assistant Regional Manager, Christchurch.
Graham received the Health and Safety Champion Award for his effort supporting the NIWA staff after the Christchurch earthquakes.
He organised working parties to help staff affected by liquefaction, making NIWA facilities available for staff families, locating and providing fresh water, organising carpooling and daily communications with staff – an approach that was adopted by other Christchurch organisations.
