Biography
I am in the Population Modelling group within the Fisheries Centre at NIWA. My area of expertise is in using spatial modelling approaches to study New Zealand fish populations. I use modelling techniques such as the vector autoregressive spatio-temporal (VAST) modelling platform to understand the spatio-temporal distribution and abundance of fish. I am particularly interested in using species distribution modelling to better understand the distributions of freshwater fish.
