A Regedrella species collected from nearly 2200 m depth on Canopus Seamount on the Louisville Ridge, northeast off New Zealand. This specimen was collected by manned submersible during the Japanese Quelle 2013 voyage that visited New Zealand waters (www.jamstec.go.jp/quelle2013/e). A closeup shows the glass lattice work typical of a venus basket sponge.
