Numerical Weather Prediction is regional scale resolution (10s to 100s of kms), and forecasts weather systems over hours to days. In contrast, Computational Fluid Dynamics is microscale (metres to kms), high-resolution local wind flow and turbulence. Combining the two delivers a complete wind flow picture – from large-scale weather to detailed local effects.
