Images captured by our Deep Towed Imaging System (DTIS) shows abundant animal burrows and tracks at some of the sites we have visited, which suggests the atmospheric ash plume did not reach those areas. (NIWA-Nippon Foundation TESMaP / Rebekah Parsons-King)
