Biography
Tom is marine ecologist with a broad background in spatial ecology and modelling, marine mammal research and marine spatial planning. Tom's interests include determining the distribution patterns of species and habitats in relation to changing ocean conditions and how we (humans) use the ocean. By partnering with coastal communities and working closely with decision makers and kaitiaki, Tom's research is used to make evidence based decisions on the management of our special coastal and oceanic environment.
