Biography

Suzanne (Sue) did postdoctoral work with Prof. Keith Shine at the University of Reading, developing an 'intermediate-complexity' general circulation model for radiative-dynamical studies of stratospheric ozone change. Later she joined Prof. Myles Allen at the University of Oxford on large ensemble climate modelling projects. Sue's research has focused on extreme weather events and their attribution to the human influence on climate. She has contributed to publications on many aspects of extreme weather events, viz.: processes, modelling, attribution, projections, near-real-time attribution, attribution of their impacts, use in loss and damage negotiations and statistical extreme value modelling.
