Biography
Greg Olsen is an experienced senior technician with a background in Analytical Organic Chemistry, generating data for organic contaminants such as PAH, PCB and organochlorine pesticides. Mr Olsen has been involved in numerous studies on sediment contaminants in New Zealand for over 24 years. In the last 16 years Mr Olsen has worked on the development and application of compound specific stable isotopes (CSSI) techniques to catchment sediment movement and sediment source tracing. This has involved leading projects, planning, client liaison, sampling logistics, sample processing, sample preparations and data modelling. Many of these studies have involved collaboration with overseas scientists and with Regional Councils across New Zealand.
