Based on rainfall anomaly classification over the past six months and forecast rainfall anomaly classification over the next 3 months.
Fiji, Tonga: Below to well below normal rainfall observed for 5 of the past 6 months. Below normal rainfall is forecast for both island groups from October to December.
Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu: Below to well below normal rainfall experienced in July, August and September with below normal rainfall forecast over the next 3 months.
New Caledonia: Well below normal rainfall received during June and August, below normal rainfall received during September. The forecast for October to December is for below normal rainfall.
