Biography
I am an Atmospheric Modeller and my research focuses on understanding the global and regional cycles of the two main greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4). I am interested in exploring the spatial and temporal variability of these gases and improving their current flux estimates by combining atmospheric models and measurements (in situ and satellite).

CarbonWatchNZ will address crucial carbon cycle questions in the three landscapes that are most important to New Zealand’s carbon balance: forest, grassland and urban environments.
Quantifying and reducing agricultural emissions of greenhouse gases
Research Project
Almost half of Aotearoa New Zealand’s CO2-equivalent greenhouse gas emissions come from agriculture. This is a much higher proportion than most other countries – globally, agricultural emissions average around 7.5% of a country’s total emissions.
