Biography
Current research areas include the development and application of very high resolution Numerical Weather Prediction, Computational Fluid Dynamics and dispersion models to boundary layer meteorology, atmospheric dispersion (volcanic ash, biological agents and wildfire), wind forecasting consultancy regarding AS/NZS Standards compliance and renewable energy (wind and solar). I have particular experience in the set up and use of NWP models to study extreme weather events, including tornados, wind storms and severe rainfall.
