Journalists are advised that the latest report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is to be released in Yokohama, Japan at 1pm (NZ time) on Monday, 31 March.

The document, known as the IPCC Fifth Assessment Working Group 2 report assesses the impacts, adaptation and vulnerability related to climate change. It includes a chapter that focuses on New Zealand and Australia.

NIWA climate scientist Dr Andrew Tait is a lead author of this chapter.

NIWA will issue an embargoed media release at midday on Sunday, 30 March summarising the New Zealand findings, with the embargo being lifted on Monday, 31 March at 1pm.
