Seaweeds and algae are preserved by pressing them between absorbent sheets of paper. Here, New Zealand native and exotic Caulerpa samples are pressed for display and identification. New Zealand has a number of native Caulerpa species that occur in similar habitats to exotic Caulerpa, these native species could be impacted if exotic Caulerpa continues to spread.
