Ryan Evison

Biography

I am an environmental scientist interested in surface water, climate and groundwater processes. I am working as an Environmental Monitoring Technician at NIWA in Wellington. My role involves the collection and analysis of environmental data, as well as implementing and calibrating instrumentation. My key areas are hydrology, climate, groundwater and water quality (specifically sediment). I have a background in environmental data collection and analysis working for regional council's, crown research institutes and universities. My education is in physical geography where I have a Master of Science degree in hydrogeology, specifically, groundwater age modeling using numerical models and environmental tracers. Other strengths include excellent interpersonal skills, practical problem-solving abilities, and a can-do attitude.
