Installation of POCIS sampler into stream. A waratah is driven into stream bed at 30 degrees angled downstream in an area where water velocities are between 0.3 and 0.6 m s-1. POCIS samplers are prepared in the laboratory and then attached to the waratah by cable ties so they are streamlined with the flow of the water.
