Sea surface temperature is one of the dynamic forcing elements included in an Atlantis model. This animation shows outputs from a ROMS (Regional Oceanographic Modelling System) model developed by Mark Hadfield (NIWA), overlaid on our map (by CATO). Temperatures range from hot red at 23o C to cool blue at 8o C.
