Some high flows, especially in the northeast of the North Island.  Low flows in Northland and the central and southern South Island.

 River flows, August to October 2010

 Flows over the last three months (August to October 2010) ranged from well above normal in the central North Island, and above normal over most of the South Island, to normal in parts of Northland, Bay of Plenty, and Southland. 

Outlook by region, November 2010 to January 2011

Northern North Island There is no clear guidance on river flows
Southwest North Island Normal river flows are likely
Southeast North Island Above normal river flows are likely
Northern South Island Normal river flows are likely
West and south South Island Below normal or normal river flows are likely
Eastern South Island Below normal river flows are likely
