The Ocean Survey 20/20 (OS 20/20) programme is a Government initiative, which aims to provide New Zealand with better knowledge of its ocean territory, including New Zealand's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), Continental Shelf and the Ross Sea Region.
Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) is the coordinating agency for OS 20/20, and NIWA has performed several detailed surveys as part of this work. You can view data from OS20/20 surveys on our coastal and marine data portal (see link below) or download the following reports:
