Installation

We install monitoring and control systems of all sizes, throughout New Zealand, in the Pacific Islands and even the Antarctic.

Instrument Systems carries out mainly non-routine installations, usually involving newly-designed systems in the early stages of development.

As the systems develop, the design stabilizes and the installation procedure becomes routine, the NIWA field teams generally take over the responsibility of carrying out installations in their own localities.

Over the last few years we've been installing a significant amount of climate monitoring systems in Fiji, Samoa and other Pacific Islands. This is likely to continue into the foreseeable future as international funding is made available to help the Pacific Island nations better manage agriculture, insect-borne diseases and risk from extreme weather events.
