Sea ice field camp south of the massive Drygalski Ice Tongue. The sea ice is only a 2 meters think and melting fast. The image looks towards the polar plateau. There is a 1m diameter hole in the sea ice beneath/inside the tent and the water depth is around 700 m. Photo taken by Brett Grant on 18 January 2012.
