Early Career Science Award winner: Andrew Lorrey, Climate Scientist, Auckland.
Andrew received the Early Career Science Excellence Award in recognition of two years of outstanding NIWA science on climate issues - including work on eight peer-reviewed papers and $1 million in Marsden Fund projects, and for being awarded the Meteorological Society’s Edward Kidson Medal for research he conducted on climate regime classification.
