Integrating Multiple Aquatic Values

19 November 2017 - 8:00am to 24 November 2017 - 5:00pm

NIWA is proud to be the Platinum sponsor for the 5th Biennial Symposium of the International Society for River Science, held in Hamilton.

In association with the IPENZ/Water NZ Rivers Group and the New Zealand Freshwater Science Society, the conference theme is Integrating Multiple Aquatic Values. Working rivers, and other freshwater ecosystems provide a range of goods and services that are important for biodiversity, ecological functions and human use. They are valued by communities in multiple ways, including for water supply, navigation, provision of food, electricity, recreation and spiritual sustenance.

This conference will provide a forum for sharing scientific and environmental knowleddge underpinning freshwater management for multiple goals.

We look forward to showcasing NIWA as the leading provider of environmental and freshwater science.
