Predicted rainfall: Normal or above normal in the north of the North Island; normal or below normal in southern New Zealand. Outcome: Below normal in Southland and parts of eastern and central North Island. Above normal in parts of Northland, central New Zealand, and central South Island.
Predicted air temperature: Above average over the North Island; average or above average over the South Island. Outcome: Above average in parts of Northland, Waikato, and the south and west of the South Island; otherwise mostly average or below average over the country.
